Portusaki Report:)

So Portusaki second day is over and it was my second convention of the year lol.
I had a lot of fun especially the second day but here's the full report


I arrived at around 10 am, everyone was still mounting tables, it was funny because i've never been in a vendor's place when everything was still to set up, we were next to two friends that had a drawing table and made bishies and coloured things. Here's my table:

you cant see it very well but we were basically selling wigs, manga, stickers, merchandize, posters etc.
I guess it was cool being able to sit the whole con but it also meant that you were stuck with your table and codnt leave--', Anyway all my friends stop by and kept us company from time to time. we were the farthest table and could have a good visibility from the rest of the con.

The backstage was very chill, all contestants were talking to each other, we were five and this time there were actually more guys than girlsOo who whoud guessXD It was nice to know Carolina and Joss, and participate again with Miguel and Tiago. All costumes were very good, we all comented how it was anyone's game. In the end Miguel won as Simon from TTGL.  The best of luck to him<3

Day Two was much more relaxed than one. I walked with Korra cosplay, in this con we were actually three Korras:) and one Bolin, yay for Avatar cosplay\0/. There were many less people but I still had a great time and bought so many things, origami magnets from the origami table, a mirror and a lucky pack from the lolita table, a clock and 4 posters from Animegam,all the posters together were only 3 euros, I still remenber when there was a Saint seiya poster for 14 euros last year--'. I also ate shrimp chips, and drank chinese tea and shrimp soup.  I forgot to mention that it was so hot both days I was meltinglol.

overral it was a good weekend, its always great to meet friends again espeially my friends silvério, gabriela and Kenzo who are from other cities:) definetely looking foward to the next one<3

Portusaki in two days

As the title says Portusaki is in two days yay!!!
Finally an event that didnt got cancelled like the last two--'. This one is going to have the only contest for EC in Portugal and I gave a huge thought about should I participate or not because as the organisers of the competition like to advertise it, Eurocosplay is a competition for the best of Europe and i'm certainly not in such level. I decided to go anyway and I can say that I pushed myself a lot trying to get the best results I could give. In case you dont know here's the charachter i'm going as:

the most dificult part was the painting of the whole white fabric and the patterning:( I think I bought ten x-ato and cut over 1000 hexagons--'I also had major issues with the fabric because I bought super strechy and after painting it it got so stiff that i was basically working with paperD: On top of it the shiny loking black fabric was a nightmare to sew. I think I broke the machine twice. No matter the tension or type of stich I used it was always a fight and it didnt help the fact that in some areas I had 6 layers of fabric to sew.

Anyway is almost finished, only need to do her neck thingie and find the right shoes. I also made a simple M-6 Carnifex to carry with my skit which will be 30 seconds on stageOTL. I'm also having a small table with merchandise with my sister to make some money. Next joutnal will be reporting from the convention:)

Another update plus no pictures

This last month I sewed a lot!!

I organized my fabric and sewing boxes and kind of challenged myself to finish old costumes that got dropped and use fabric to make new ones without spending a cent.

I finished the very first cosplay I ever sewed with my sewing machine, konoe from Lamento. it was started three years ago when I knew nothing about sewing, tension, threads, stiching etc and I'm still proud of 18-year-old Ema who broke her machine the first day and had to go with her mother the next day exchange itOTL. anyway I remade the blue tunic and made another pair of pants. I also finished my Claire cosplay vest and painted the logo, finished Jill resi 3, finished Thorffin and finished Korra.

As for the cosplays I finished with 0 budget i dig around the box and found fabrics for Homunculus (on my list for this year) Gryffindor student (my sister loled and she saw it) and Sansa from game of thrones.
I screwed with homunculus pants and need to redo them, finished the gryfindor robes and finished Sansa.
The one I liked the most is Sansa dress, so pretty, I think I fell in love and I hope my sister can shoot me soon because her vacation starts tomorrow*__*


P.S. I also want to explain that cosplay really is a hobbie for me and I enjoy sewing very much thats why I sometimes sew two costumes in a day that get called half-assed to groryous cossupuray godesses desu and appearing in events and competitions isnt a goal at all. please hatter chan dissapear.

Finally some cosplay progress

hello everyone, how are you?
I haven´t posted in awhile because Dragon age and Mass Effect ate my life away the last three weeks but I think i'm recovering fine and going back to normal state gradually...

so I finally watched all 5 episodes of LoK and oh boy am I hocked... I don't watch anime anymore and never bothered with cartoons but i loved AtLA and now I'm glad I picked up this series. Its so entertaining, I really urge you to watch If you haven't, you will not be disappointed.

cosplaying Korra came very spontaneously after searching my fabric box and finding blue, blue, BLUEEEEEEEEEEE everywhere. I also really like her character and the cosplay seemed relatively simple for me.
so I begined this Saturday by printing  the images and patterning a bit, Friday I did all the patterns and cut the fabric and today I sewed everything.
Its not done yet but its pretty close now.

For now I just need to find and attach the white fur and figure out korra's neckline and armband and then shoes.
 I hope I cant tone up a bit and tan during the summer. I'll wear my hair, I hope it grows and I will probably wear this for Portusaki in the beginning of September. I'm really excited for a group, I will have Bolin and maybe Lin and who knows if someone wants to jump on he bandwagon with us and make a the whole probending team coughlilaxcough.


I'm also slowly progressing with Miranda's costume but it really takes so much time to make such a big stencilD: Im not sure if the four months I have will be time enough--'
Conventionwise Yesterday was Haruhi which I couldn't attend because of work but I heard from my sister that it was really fun. I also had a chance to attend Anicomics today but I let it slip because it was mother's day and met with my granny at lunch, when will I meet my southern friends again??;____;

BOOOOOOOOOOOH plus cosplay preview

Sooooooooooooo you probably already heard about the sudden cancellation of Japan emotion;___________; i was really looking forward to that event but suddenly last week it was announced that japan emotion was not happening anymore and no more details or explanation was given so we all are just wondering what happened since no one knows for sure. Don't really know why the organization choose not to say anything but whatever, i'll just keep waiting for others to pop in so I can have fun^^.

Of course that again the debut of the costumers will have to wait but I decided to have a new rubrick to help me keep this updated.
I will start posting cosplay previews of my finished costumes so here's the first>>>>>>


Claire Redfield:

I first debuted this in last IberaOpo, no one really knew who I was except for two people: this guy who came to me and said "Claire" and showed me his tattoo on his arm that read "Made in Heaven" which is written in Claire's vest*__*. I was so surprised and happy to meet such a big fan. And there was a girl that I heard talking to her friend " Oh my God, cannot believe I am seeing a Claire" This are the recognitions i most enjoy when wearing cosplay*3*.


This defenetily needed of few fixings before being showed again.
I remade the vest from scratch because it was too tight and got a new pair of jeans and gloves. I need to make an observation that I know her vest seems to be some type of leather or vinyl bu my machine does not sew any type of fabric like that. I already tried and it nearly ruined it. I'm not sure if its me who does not know how to properly adjust the tension or thread but I rather not take the chance again. Sarja it was then. The necklace, belt, black shirt and gun are the same.
I'm wearing my own hair:)

Really small update

So this is gonna be a really small update.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to go to Iberanime because of work and money issues and I wasn't the only one. Of a group of almost 20 people almost everyone backed out because of money, personal or work relates problems. others simple couldn't handle the pressure and quited and some didn't go either because we weren't Oo. i just have to say that trying to organized a travel like this one is really tiring and frustrating and I guess it really isn't worth it. managing money, goers, group tickets, transports honoraries, tantrums and reservations when half the people avoids you can be really quite a handful. I apologize to my friends Tânia and Silvério who went alone and said couldn't enjoy the whole experience fully because the group wasn't there;__________;

It was the first time ever I failed to attend an Iberanime lol. the first one I was eighteen years old and traveled alone thereXD time flies so fast! It menas that the cosplay plans were moved to Japan Emotion that will be held in two weeks. I'm really excited for it. My friends Lilax, Sui and CX will be entering the Eurocosplay;__________; You go girls!!!!!!!
Ill bring Claire to cheer on them and I'll participate in Saturday's regular contest wih a simple skit and costume of silent hill. Everything's ready, just need to sew a small Roger plushie because I cant make the big one for lack of fabric.
i also hear some people of lisbon will be coming and i cant wait to meat them too:)

I really don´t have much to say, I think I'm starting to get a bit lazy about the blogueXD bored to take pictures and that but it stops today:D. Gonna post about what I've been doing:)


A few days ago i had a shoot with Lilax, sister and Tânia. Only me and Lilax wore cosplay which was AC againXDXD.
we shoot in Porto cathedral and actually got some nice shoots. the shoot itself was a bit nerving, we had a creepy guy who wouldn't leave us alone, field trip kids mocking us, asian tourists pointing at us and some stupid lady screaming because we were taking pictures there. I'm definitely rethink locations shoots next time because cosplaying in public is really stressful.

I already posted some pictures in my DA but here's another one:

This costume was made for Iberanime last year and I never got decent photos of it.

Speaking of Iberanime sadly this year I wont be able to go to the Lisbon edition:(. Its the first time I skip it for I went to the other four times but work wont let me go;______________;.
I was really looking forward and even prepared two costumes but it seems I'll only go In October nowT^T.
It does mean though that I will have more time to prepare for Japan emotion that will be in one month.
i'm thinking of bringing Heather and male Panty but I have to see if I have the day off first.

On a last note, my sister still had quite a few yards of fabric from her stripey pants so I made a quick jacke of it and a shoot of Gian carlo:

I dont have hazel lenses yet so I wore my blue ones and I also forgot o take the glasses offXD.
I'm not sure if I have enough to make the pants but i'll try to finish the cosplay regardless.
